Leaving
Picton on the ferry. Some of the trucks making the crossing can be seen on the
vehicle deck.
Looking
back along Queen Charlotte Sound. Picton is in the bay to the left past the
first headland. The haze over the sea makes a wonderful layered effect on the
hills.
A
brisk breeze picks up spray off the ocean once out of the protection of the
sounds and into the strait proper. The hills and mountains of Marlbourgh can
just be seen in the distance as the sun gets low on the horizon.
Sunset
over the South Island from about half way across the strait. If you want to contact me please email me at feedback@baggins.co.nz
