Kaikoura

Sleeping sealA seal still wet from the sea basks in the hot sun.
Alert sealA seal heads over the path to find shade further inland. The seals here are fairly used to humans and quite fearless. It pays to be careful of them however as they can move very quickly and be quite aggressive. It pays not to get between them and the sea.
Adult and baby sealAre you my mum?
Kaikoura panoramaA full circle panorama from the end of the Kaikoura peninsula. Kaikoura town is under the mountains left and right.
