All screen savers have been put in self extracting zip files (.exe). When run they should automatically install the screensaver. Some also offer the raw .scr file which you must install manually.
The simplest of metonomes.
I wrote this because most metronomes are writen for music and wont go slower than 40 beats per minute (bpm). This can be too fast if you are wanting to time physical activities. This program will acept any timing you want to enter. A value of 0.1 bpm will give one tick every 10 minutes. In fact the timing is probably more acurate at slow speeds than high.
Download TickerSetup.zip, open it and copy the enclosed folder to your desktop, then run the setup program in the folder.

This is a little program that allows any 'Video for Windows' compatible camera or capture card attached to your computer to automatically capture pictures then ftp them to a server. It is an ideal way to put a webcam on your web site.
The program saves a picture at preset intervals. Every so often it can update a 'history' picture that is a composite of up to 24 past pictures. If told to it will FTP the files to a server. If you use a modem you can select to have the program hang up after the transfer (you must select 'auto-connect' on your dial up connection).
Version 2 now includes basic motion detection so you can be sure something is happening when a picture is taken. 2.01 fixes a timing problem with some computers. 2.1 adds picture resizing.
Note that picture capture is done using the windows clipboard. This may cause problems with cut and paste operations in other programs you run at the same time.
No installation required. Just download the file and run it.
See my webcam page which uses this software.

This useful if you use a professional AtoD card to capture sounds. These normally allow you to save the data as a delimited text file but how do you listen to the sound?
This program loads a text file and plays the sound. You can save it as a .wav file or select a small part and save that as either .txt or .wav.
This program requires the .NET framework installed on your computer. This can be downloaded from Microsofts update site if it is not already installed.
